New Palm-Sized 100W RGB LED from Zhiyun

Zhiyun Molus X100RGB

Zhiyun continues to improve its popular line of LED lighting products with the upgraded Molus X100 RGB LED light, built for content creators who need bright, reliable light wherever they go. The new LED comes in an ultra-compact package with a total body thickness of approximately 3cm and a lightweight design of only 384g. Despite its small size, it can produce an impressive 12,600 lux of illumination, equivalent to 300W of power when paired with the new ultra-thin Mini Lens Reflector.

The LED offers a wide colour temperature range and full RGB colour output through a newly arranged LED bead structure and a colour temperature range from 2500 K to 10,000 K with a CRI of 95 and TLCI 97. Its brightness level, with or without modifiers, makes the small LED perfect for content creators and photographers on the go and works equally well for applications such as portrait photography, video production, livestreaming and more. Despite its power, the X100 RGB stays quiet thanks to Zhiyun's Dynavort cooling technology, which keeps fan noise low enough for interviews and vlogs. A set of 18 built-in lighting effects allows users to simulate various environmental and cinematic scenarios, such as candlelight, lightning, or emergency lighting. A removable 57.72Wh battery grip (included in the Pro package) provides up to 34 minutes of runtime at full power. The light also supports PD fast charging and direct DC input, providing multiple power options depending on the user's environment.

It features Zhiyun's proprietary ZY mount, designed to be compatible with the included mini modifiers and a Bowens mount adapter for broader accessory support. Modifier options include barn doors, a softbox and a spotlight attachment.

Bluetooth networking is easily accomplished via the ZY Vega app, allowing remote control of brightness, colour settings and fixture groups. This wireless configuration simplifies multi-light setups and allows adjustments to be made without physically accessing each light source.
