The Leica M11 Monochrom has a sensor that is completely dedicated to black and white photography and focuses like no other camera on the most fundamental of all photographic practices: the composition of images solely through light and shadow.
With the monochrome, multi-resolution, full-format sensor developed exclusively for the new M generation, the M11 Monochrom delivers exceptional monochrome images. Raw DNG files or JPEGs can be created at 60, 36 or 18 Megapixel resolution. Combined with the camera's huge ISO range of 125 to 200,000, this gives you the ultimate in creative freedom. The result is images with unprecedented detail, exceptionally natural definition even in low light, and extremely low noise even at high ISOs.
The 256 GB internal memory and convenient connectivity to the Leica FOTOS app ensure an optimal mobile workflow. Images can be quickly and easily transferred to the app via Bluetooth or the USB-C port for further processing. In addition, the camera can be controlled directly via the app and photos can be assessed immediately on the smartphone or tablet thanks to the tethered preview. In addition, the Leica M11 Monochrom is a certified Apple "Made for iPhone and iPad" accessory and offers unique possibilities with the included Leica FOTOS cable.
With an all-metal body and top plate made of high-quality aluminium, a sapphire glass display, solid leather upholstery and a scratch-resistant black finish, the M11 Monochrom presents itself in a timeless and understated M design. Details such as the deliberate omission of the Leica logo and the dark chrome coating of the optical viewfinder underline the reduced, iconic design of the new member of the legendary Leica M family.
