Across the hybrid auction at Flyinge Kungsgård and the subsequent online auction, a total of 60 selected SWB foals were sold for a combined €777,000.
On Friday evening, Stora Ridhuset at Flyinge was filled with breeders, horse owners and prospective buyers as this year’s SWB Elite Foal Auction Hybrid took place during SWB Equestrian Weeks. Bidding took place both live at the venue and online, with Frederik de Backer as auctioneer.
A total of 34 foals were sold for €584,000. The 18 dressage foals achieved a combined total of €320,000, resulting in an average price of €17,778. The 16 jumping foals sold for a total of €264,000, with an average price of €16,500. One jumping foal remained unsold.
The highest price of the auction was achieved by the dressage foal Dreamcesse VH (31) (SWB). The filly by Dynamic Dream out of Duarda VH (31) (SWB) – Dalwhinnie, sold by Västra Hoby Stuteri AB, was knocked down for €38,000.Among the jumping foals, My Hawk’s Cat-Ching (SWB) achieved the highest price. The colt by Catoki out of My Hawk’s Esmeralda (23) (SWB) – Emerald van’t Ruytershof, sold by My’s Stuteri och Kennel AB, was knocked down for €34,000.
Last year, 31 foals were sold at the hybrid auction at an overall average price of approximately €15,145. This year’s average of €17,176 therefore represents an increase of just over 13 percent.
"It is fantastic to see the strong interest in this year’s collection and, above all, to see so many of our breeders receive good prices for their foals. An average price of more than €17,000 and total sales of €584,000 demonstrate strong demand for Swedish-bred horses. We are also very pleased to be able to bring together breeders and buyers from both Sweden and abroad here at Flyinge,” says Anette Graf, CEO of SWB.
This year’s hybrid collection consisted of carefully selected jumping and dressage foals from Swedish breeders. The selection was carried out by Johan Ifverson, Boudewijn Schepers and Rick Jespers, who travelled across Sweden during the summer to view and assess the foals.
“I think this year’s collection is strong and offers something for most buyers. During the selection tour, we saw many very good foals. Overall, Swedish breeders maintain a very high standard, and it is great to see the quality and breadth of Swedish breeding,” says Boudewijn Schepers, member of the SWB Elite Foal Auctions selection team.

This year’s online auction featured a carefully selected collection of jumping and dressage foals with attractive international bloodlines. Bidding opened on September 30 and concluded with the final bid-up on Saturday evening during SWB Equestrian Weeks at Flyinge Kungsgård.A total of 26 foals were sold for €193,000, resulting in an average price of €7,423 per foal.The top price of the online auction was achieved by Belavia W (SWB), an ET filly by Be Sure out of Vaiana – Valverde, bred and sold by Polytop AB. The online auction forms part of the SWB Elite Foal Auctions and was held this year alongside the hybrid auction at Flyinge. The two formats provide breeders with different opportunities to reach buyers, while giving both Swedish and international audiences the opportunity to invest in the next generation of SWB horses.Last year’s digital elite foal auction concluded with an average price of just over €7,900. This year’s average of €7,423 was therefore approximately six percent lower than in 2025.
“It is impossible not to compare the average price of this year’s online auction with Friday’s success, but the fact is that the average price compares well with several European online auctions. At the same time, we are not satisfied with where we are – our ambition is to raise the average price further. We made several changes ahead of this year’s auction based on what we learned last year, and we will continue to develop the format to create even better opportunities for our breeders and their foals,” says Anette Graf, CEO of SWB.
