Transcontinenta Group, distributor of HARMAN Photo in the Benelux, Germany, Austria, and France, announces the introduction of the HARMAN SWITCH AZURE 125 film, the latest creative addition to HARMAN’s growing colour film line up alongside HARMAN RED and HARMAN PHOENIX.
HARMAN SWITCH AZURE is designed for photographers who love experimenting, inviting you to expect your colours to “switch”: blues render as orange, bright yellows turn into a vibrant azure, and reds shift towards purple-blue hues. The result is a surreal, playful look that transforms everyday scenes into something unexpectedly extraordinary.
Think iconic red London buses turning blue, classic yellow taxis losing their signature colour, and sunsets transformed into cool blues and dreamy purples. Welcome to a world where pink and orange skies meet cyan bananas and blue strawberries.
Despite its wild look, SWITCH AZURE is easy to use and lab-friendly: it’s compatible with standard C41 processing and available in both 35mm and 120 formats.
Keep in mind that the scanner used after development can significantly affect how Azure negatives look once digitised. HARMAN notes that common commercial lab scanners can render the same negatives quite differently, and provides recommended settings to improve standard scans on popular systems. Flatbed or mirrorless camera scanning typically delivers a more neutral result.
Key features:
ISO 125 creative colour film
DX-coded 35mm cassette
Standard C41 development
Available in 35mm (36 exposures) and 120 roll film
Alongside SWITCH AZURE, HARMAN offers two other creative colour films in its portfolio. The HARMAN PHOENIX II 200 is a fully redeveloped second-generation colour negative film in 35mm and 120, designed for finer grain, sharper results, improved contrast, and a wider exposure range, with noticeably improved scan results on common lab scanners. For a very different creative look, HARMAN RED 125 is a DX-coded ISO 125 35mm redscale film processed in standard C41, turning scenes into striking red, orange, and yellow-heavy renders while retaining a bold, contrasty film character.
The HARMAN SWITCH AZURE 125 will be available soon through authorised HARMAN Photo dealers across the Benelux, Germany, Austria, and France. The HARMAN SWITCH AZURE 120 is priced at €13.99 including VAT, while the HARMAN SWITCH AZURE 125 35mm (36 exposures) costs €14.99 including VAT.
