The Transcontinenta Group, HARMAN distributor for the Benelux, Germany, and Austria, proudly introduces the HARMAN Phoenix II 200 Colour Negative Film, available in both 35mm (135) and 120 formats.
Following the widely celebrated launch of the original HARMAN Phoenix 200 in 2023, Phoenix II represents a significant leap forward in performance and consistency. This entirely reengineered second-generation film is built from the ground up with new dyes, couplers, and a novel experimental layer structure—resulting in improved grain, sharper results, better contrast, and enhanced exposure latitude. While Phoenix II offers a more refined palette, it still embraces the creative spirit and analogue soul that made the original so popular among film photographers worldwide.
Developed entirely in the UK at the HARMAN technology factory in Mobberley, Phoenix II is DX-coded at ISO 200 and delivers best results when rated between EI 100–200. It is compatible with standard C41 development but invites experimentation with alternative processes like E6 and ECN-2. Phoenix II offers improved scanning results across popular scanning systems, especially with minor adjustments on Noritsu and Fuji lab scanners. Whether home-processed or lab-developed, Phoenix II opens the door to striking, character-rich imagery.
This new release underscores HARMAN's ongoing investment in colour film R&D and reflects the feedback and passion of the global film community. Photographers are encouraged to share their results and join the conversation using #phoenixfilm2 and #harmanphoenix2.
