Britain based Rana Begum and Swedish painter Martin Jacobson feature indoors and outdoors in the sculpture park during exhibitions May 8 – November 7. In addition Sweden premiere of Rachel Tes’ Last Dances produced by Danish Dance Theatre and premiere of a new piece by Malmö based choreographer Frédéric Gies.

The Wanås Foundations that runs the sculpture park Wanås Konst presents the first half of the year's exhibition program 2021 gallery with the Norwegian artist Marit Roland's drawings of paper. In May, abstract and imaginative meet with presentations of Martin Jacobson's gigantic hand-painted scenery to Jonas Gardell's Queen of F * cking everything and Rana Begum's explorations of geometry that create rhythm and repetition. Wanås Konst's Live Art program includes the Swedish premiere of Rachel Tess’ Last Dances produced by Danish Dance Theatre and with costume by the acclaimed Danish artist Peter Linde Busk and the premiere of a work made for the sculpture park by Malmö - based choreographer Frédéric Gies.

In addition, an extensive educational project is shown where school students work remotely with the artist duo Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan and build dream houses that, like an entire city, move into the art gallery during the spring. Marika Wachtmeister founded the business in 1987 and led it until 2010. Since 2011, the business is led by the management duo Elisabeth Millqvist and Mattias Givell. The operation is financed through support from Östra Göinge municipality, Region Skåne, state support own revenues and private funds and sponsorship. Wanås Konst is a member of the European Land + Art Network (ELAN). Wanås is a place in the world where art, nature and history meet.
