Saint Martin Gastronomy Festival

The Saint-Martin Tourist Office is proud to announce the fourth edition of their Culinary Festival, taking place from 11 to 22 November 2024.

The festival features local brunch on the beach, outdoor cooking workshops, a gastronomy village, and a closing night with famous international chefs. Wine and cheese tastings are also part of the programme.

VIVA Cruises

VIVA Cruises has just announced that it will sail regularly on the Seine this winter. The refurbished VIVA Gloria will take guests from Paris to the Atlantic coast at Le Havre with exciting stops along the way.

The cruise includes excursions in Paris, all-inclusive meals, drinks and a free minibar in the cabin.

Scylla and Future Ships

Scylla, the company behind VIVA Cruises, plans to launch 12 new river cruise ships by 2028. PORTO MIRANTE, sailing on the Douro River, and VIVA ENJOY, launching later this year, are the first new ships. These additions emphasize Scylla's commitment to providing unforgettable river cruises for their guests.

Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Tourism Authority has launched the Saudi Summer Programme 2024 under the theme "Saudi Summer is Next Door". The programme runs for four months and focuses on seven destinations: Aseer, Al Baha, Taif, Red Sea, Jeddah, Riyadh and Al-Ula.

The programme features over 550 tourism products and 150 special offers, including the Esports World Cup and boxing tournaments.

Single Visa and Increased Accessibility

Visiting Saudi Arabia is now easier with the new eVisa, which is available to citizens from 66 countries and is 20% cheaper.

More flight connections from the Gulf make it easier to travel to the many exciting destinations in the kingdom.

Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al Khateeb, highlighted the positive growth in the tourism sector and the record number of visitors.

New hotels in Oman

Look out for these new hotel openings in Oman in 2024:

• Mandarin Oriental Muscat: Located in Shatti Al-Qurum with 103 rooms, 47 suites, and five restaurants. Opening in spring.

• Nikki Beach Resort & Spa: Opening in Yiti Bay with 140 rooms and 30 villas. Opening in late 2024.

• St Regis Al Mouj Muscat: Located on the Al Mouj golf course with 250 rooms and several gourmet restaurants. Opening in the second quarter.

• Aida: Two hotels with 450 rooms, wellness centres, and infinity pools. Located 100 metres above sea level.

• Four Seasons Muscat: 200-room resort on the coast, with activities such as water sports and tennis.

• Anantara Bandar Al Khairan Muscat: Opening in 2026 with 121 rooms, including chalets and villas with private pools.
