The new CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority visits the Nordics

Raki Philips, the news CEO of RAKTDA, will visit the four Nordic capitals hosting an exclusive Media Roadshow for selected press.

In July, Raki Phillips joined Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) as the new CEO and has officially replaced Haitham Mattar. Raki Phillips is a hospitality veteran, and he has worked for some of the world’s most renowned global brands, including Ritz-Carlton Hotels, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, and Universal Studios Orlando.

Raki Phillips will be responsible for delivering the authority’s Destination Strategy 2019-2021, which aims to attract 1.5 million visitors to the emirate by 2021 and 3 million by 2025.
His appointment marks the commencement of a new phase of tourism development for the emirate.

Nordic Media Roadshow

This September, for the first time ever, Raki Phillips will visit the four Nordic capitals; Stockholm, Helsinki, Oslo and Copenhagen, hosting an exclusive Media Roadshow. A selection of hand-picked media has been invited to this intimate roundtable press event where Raki Phillips will elaborate on the authority’s strategy for 2019-2021 and include the press in key figures for RAKTDA. Raki Phillips will also be available for individual press interviews for those who are interested.

Since 2018, United Spirit Nordic has represented RAKTDA in the Nordics, and on April 2019 they renewed the contract. Ras Al Khaimah will, therefore, be promoted even further in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark on various future occasions. In addition to the first Ras Al Khaimah Nordic Media Roadshow, RAKTDA also hosts a great Nordic Roadshow for travel agents, travel agencies and tour operators later in September.
