New: Samyang V-AF 100mm T2.3 full-frame cine lens for Sony FE

The Transcontinenta Group, distributor of Samyang in the Benelux, is proud to announce the expansion of the Samyang Compact Cine Auto Focus range with the introduction of the Samyang V-AF 100mm T2.3 FE. This addition brings a new dimension of versatility and performance to the range and confirms Samyang's commitment to providing advanced solutions for filmmakers and video content creators.

The V AF Series represents the pinnacle of innovation in autofocus cinema lenses, offering user-friendly features and professional performance. Building on the success of the existing range, which includes the 24mm, 35mm, 45mm and 75mm T1.9 FE lenses, the newly introduced 100mm T2.3 FE lens adds further depth to the collection. Looking ahead, in the first half of next year, Samyang plans to complete the Compact Cine Auto Focus, the V AF series, with the launch of the ultra-wide angle V AF 20mm T1.9 FE.

V-AF 100mm T2.3 FE

The addition of the 100mm T2.3 FE lens to the V-AF Series now provides a versatile range of focal lengths from wide angle to telephoto for a wide variety of video content creation. Slightly longer than other V-AF Series lenses, its compact size and weight with a unified form factor facilitates efficient gimbal shooting and eliminates the need for time-consuming switching between focal lengths. Ideal for capturing stunning portraits and everyday snapshots, it excels at keeping subjects in frame without perspective distortion, and the bright T2.3 aperture creates a beautifully blurred background that enhances the subject's prominence.

Tally lamps are built into the lens for easy monitoring of the camera's recording status. Custom Switch and button functions, including Focus Save and customizable modes via firmware updates.

Accessories and future Releases:

The metal accessory mount supports accessories such as the Manual Focus Adapter and a forthcoming anamorphic adapter, enhancing the overall video shooting experience. The Anamorphic adapter, scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2024, is compatible with a total of four lenses, including the V-AF 35mmT1.9 FE, 45mm, T1.9 FE, 75mm T1.9 FE, and 100mm T2.3 FE.

The new Samyang V-AF 100mm T2.3 will be available at Samyang dealers in the Benelux at the end of December 2023. The V-AF 100mm has a recommended retail price of €649.99 including VAT.
