Samyang V-AF 35mm T1.9 and V-AF 24mm T1.9 cine lenses now available

Samyang V-AF 35mm T1.9 and V-AF 24mm T1.9 cine lenses now available

The Transcontinenta Group, Samyang's distributor for the Benelux, announces the sales launch of two more cine lenses from the acclaimed V-AF series: the Samyang V-AF 35mm T1.9 and the Samyang V-AF 24mm T1.9.

The new Samyang V-AF series includes the world's first autofocus lenses designed specifically for videographers. They are designed to make creating video content easier and faster. Samyang previously released the V-AF 75mm T1.9 and now only the previously announced Samyang V-AF 20mm T1.9 and the V-AF 40mm T1.9 remain, before the entire V-AF cine series is complete. These two remaining lenses are expected in the first quarter of 2023.

Autofocus lenses specially designed for filmmakers

All V-AF lenses are designed for Sony E-mount and have several new and important features. These include a Tally Lamp that displays the shooting status with LED light, so even a single filmmaker can quickly check the shooting status. The focus ring has also been redesigned so that follow focus can be applied directly without additional accessories. Finally, the Custom Switch and Focus Hold button allow for quick adjustment of functions during filming. Thanks to their equal weight and dimensions, the V-AF lenses are also ideal for use with gimbals and drones. This is because you don't have to keep rebalancing the combination, when changing lenses. In fact, this can be time-consuming.

The high-performance Samyang V-AF 24mm T1.9, 35mm T1.9 and 75mm T1.5 Cine lenses all not only have bright apertures, but also offer excellent resolving power for 8K resolution video productions and represent the pinnacle of Samyang's expertise in optics. For example, the Samyang V-AF 35mm T1.9 consists of 10 elements in 8 groups, with two ASP and two HR special lens elements. The Samyang V-AF 24mm T1.9 consists of 11 elements in 8 groups and has two ED, two ASP and three HR special lens elements. Both lenses produce a stunningly sharp cinematic look and the 9-blade aperture provides a soft and smooth bokeh that easily separates the subject from the background.
