THE PACKAGING DETERMINES IF CONSUMERS RECYCLE CHRISTMAS CORRECTLY
Should the plastic lid on the milk carton packaging be left or torn off before sorting? And what about the plastic packaging around meat products, should you rinse out the food residues before sorting? At Christmas time the amount of household waste increases, and recycling is often experienced as messy, time consuming and complicated. These are the findings from a new study conducted by researchers at CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University. Read more.

PER KRISTENSSON AND MARGARETA FRIMAN INSPIRED AT SUSTAINABILITY DAY
On December 3, Karlstad Business School at Karlstad University organised the annual Sustainability Day, available for students and the general public. KAISA KOSKELA-HUOTARI RECEIVES THE WALLANDER SCHOLARSHIP
On November 3, Jan Wallander and Tom Hedelius Foundation, and the Tore Browaldh's Foundation announced 20 new recipients of the Wallander Scholarship for outstanding doctoral dissertations. One of the recipients is PhD Kaisa Koskela-Huotari at CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University. Read more.

POPULAR WISDOM ON INNOVATIVE INDIVIDUALS
Experts who are open to change view ideas as opportunities and approach idea screening as a generative process, while conservative experts are more reserved in their idea screening activities. These are the findings of a new study where researchers at CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, have examined how a person’s sense of identity influences the way in which they screen early ideas for innovation projects.
