CTF WILL DEVELOP AND OFFER TAILOR-MADE COURSES FOR THE BUSINESS SECTOR
CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, receives 3 million SEK from the Knowledge Foundation to develop and offer flexible courses for professionals. The courses will be developed based on business needs and on the latest research by CTF focusing on value creation through services. Read more.

ANDERS GUSTAFSSON RECEIVES 2018 CHRISTOPHER LOVELOCK CAREER CONTRIBUTIONS AWARD
Professor Anders Gustafsson, CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, has been awarded the “Christopher Lovelock Career Contributions to the Services Discipline Award”. Only five times earlier has the award been presented to a researcher outside the US. Read more.

INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH AGENDA TO REDUCED FOOD WASTE
One of the UN Global Sustainable Development Goals is to reduce by half, the 1,3 billion tons of edible food wasted annually by 2030. Helén Williams, Associate Professor in Environmental and Energy Systems at Karlstad University, is determined to contribute to this goal with insights on the role and environmental impact of packaging. She is one of the researchers behind the newly published research agenda “Packaging Strategies that Save Food – a Research Agenda for 2030”. Read more.

WHAT MAKES OLDER PEOPLE CHOOSE THE BUS INSTEAD OF THE CAR?
In a new three-year project, researchers at CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, will develop new knowledge about elderly's travel habits. The purpose is to map factors that may be important for change behvior and more sustainable travel habits among the elderly. The project has been awarded 4.7 million SEK by the Swedish Energy Agency, and will start in October. Read more.

RESEARCHERS FROM KARLSTAD UNIVERSITY BECOME RESEARCH DIRECTORS IN THE DELEGATION FOR TRUST-BASED PUBLIC MANAGEMENT
Researchers Johan Quist and Martin Fransson have for several years together with different authorities conducted research on how the public sector can be better, more relevant and appropriate for citizens. Now the Government Offices of Sweden take help from the researchers. Read more.

CROWDSOURCING OF IDEA EVALUATIONS TO CITIZENS

RESEARCH SEMINAR: SERVICE-DOMINANT LOGIC-OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE FUTURE
We would like to invite researchers and doctoral students to the seminar "Service-dominant logic - opportunities for the future"on October 17th, and following doctoral workshop on October 18th. The seminar will approach the new service research landscape and give you new insights into service-dominant logic related research and associated concepts. Program leaders are: Professor Stephen L. Vargo, University of Hawai’i at Manoa, and CTF faculty members: Professor Bo Edvardsson, Professor Per Kristensson, and Dr Kaisa Koskela-Huotari. Read more and register here.
