THE MOBILE PHONE – A WORKPLACE PROBLEM IN RETAIL
How do frontline employees in retail react to and handle situations where the customer ignores them and instead looks at their mobile phone? This has been studied by researchers Markus Fellesson, Associate Professor at CTF, and Nicklas Salomonson, Associate Professor at the University of Borås and guest researcher at CTF, and the results show that it has a negative impact on the workplace environment. Read more.

THE HUMAN SIDE OF IDEA SCREENING
Businesses and public organizations continuously work on developing new services or products in order to be innovative. One important part in this work is to know how ideas for new services and products are evaluated, since the idea screening determine whether an idea is considered good, and whether it will continue its development as an innovation project. In a new dissertation, Alexandre Sukhov has studied the human side of idea screening. Read more.

DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES ON SERVICE SYSTEM TRANSFORMATION
In December 2019, CTF in collaboration with Karlstad Business School arranged a multidisciplinary seminar series to advance knowledge within the research area Service system transformation, and as part of a PhD course in Business administration. Read more.

Businesses need service innovations to survive and strengthen their competitive advantage. By explaining how firms and key actors (such as entrepreneurs) manage to remain innovative, our research explains why innovation platforms are central. Read more.

TJÄNSTEINNOVATIONSDAGEN 2020: Kunddriven tjänsteutveckling - att förstå kunder och data
Welcome to our service innovation day, April 2, 13-16 at Karlstad CCC. Researchers from CTF and representatives from businesses, for example Systembolaget, Stadium, Voith Hydro and QBIM, will share their experiences and talk about service innovation, servitization, and data and customer driven business development. CTF will present the Swedish Innovation Index 2019, and Klas Hallberg and Per Kristensson will present their new bok "I kundens skor". The seminar is free of charge, but registration is needed. Link to program and registration.
