SmallRig continues to develop innovative products for emerging content creators and cinematographers.

Now they release a brand-new wireless follow focus system - SmallRig MagicFIZ, that will allow camera operators to make smooth lens adjustment with ease.

The new MagicFIZ follow focus system is designed to provide precise and direct wireless follow focus control of your lens when shooting video and it works with all types of cameras and rigs using a 15mm rod mount.

The system comes in three different configurations depending on type of production and shooting scenario.

• Wireless Follow Focus Basic kit

Kit including one wireless handwheel controller and one motor. Great for smaller production or if you are working as a 1^st AC and controlling focus.

The Wireless Handwheel Controller has a 1400mAh rechargeable battery and a battery life of approximately 20h.

• Wireless Follow Focus Two Motor kit

Kit that comes with two motors for controlling focus and aperture or zoom at the same time, one handwheel controller and one hand grip that can be fitted to a shoulder rig or used together with the handwheel for controlling both motors at the same time. Kit also includes monitor mount.

• Wireless Follow Focus Handgrip kit

Kit including one motor and one handgrip. Perfect if you want to build a shoulder rig with wireless follow focus. The handgrip can be attached to the rig on both left and right side depending of the users preference.

The grip is powered by one LP-E6 battery and runtime is approximately up to 40hrs depending on situation and battery.

All parts of the system from SmallRig have a remote-control range of up to 100m with ultra-low latency.

The motor supports PD/QC fast charging protocol and provides 9V/18W and 0.5N.m torque output capable of operating all types of lenses from still photography to high end cinema lenses.

It can be powered by NP-F batteries which easily attaches to the side with the included battery plate or by USB-C to D-tap Cable and USB-C to DC cable with V-Mount batteries.

Both motor, handgrip and handwheel features a display that facilitates settings and provides a fast workflow.

The new wireless follow focus system comes with a unique modular design, high precision control and an anti-interference encryption algorithm that ensures a workflow without any interruption.

The system brings you quick release and a precise, stable focus and zoom experience whether you are shooting handheld, tripod or gimbal mounted or pulling focus as a 1^st AC.
