Tamron announces two exciting new lenses for Sony E
Tamron is today one of the most popular and reputable manufacturers when it comes to manufacturing lenses with great optical performance for Sony E-mount. Now they present no less than two exciting lenses under development.
Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2
The new 28-75 F/2.8 G2 is the successor of the 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD, one of the most popular “everyday use” and lenses there is for Sony E.
The new G2 lens incorporates a new optical construction based on a design that has been revamped to enhance imaging performance and its features are compatible with the latest model digital cameras that offer increased resolution.
The lens features Tamrons VXD linear motor focus and delivers a fast and accurate focus that works well for both photo and video. It features a new design with enhanced operability and ergonomic texture.
This lens is compatible with the new ‘Tamron Lens Utility’ software that allows users to connect the lens to a computer and customize the functions and update the firmware through the lens rather than through the camera. The personal customization gives flexible shooting options to match the shooting situation such as still photography or videography.
MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 0.18m is at wide end and maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.7 for creative close-ups.
Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD
The 35-150 F/2 is the first zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras to have a maximum wide-open aperture of F2. With this dynamic focal range, users can shoot magnificent views and large buildings at 35mm and dynamic close-up shots at 150mm with only one lens.
Just like the 28-75 G2 the lens features Tamrons VXD linear motor focus and delivers a fast and accurate focus that works well for both photo and video.
The lens also features the new ‘Tamron Lens Utility’ software that allows users to connect the lens to a computer and customize the functions like setting 2 focus positions (A and B) and make the focus automatically shift between A and B and much more.
