A new and dynamic wide-angle for Fuji X from Samyang
Samyang AF series expands their line up with a sharp f/2 ultra-wide angle for APS-C: Samyang AF 12 mm f/2 for Fuji X mount.
Samyang is one of the most popular optics manufacturers for Sony's mirrorless cameras. Now the time has come for their first AF optics for the Fujifilm X-mount.
The lens has a compact and light construction and is perfect for street photography, landscapes, architecture and much more.
Weighing only 212g and measuring only 59.2mm in length, this new 12mm strikes the perfect balance of portability and outstanding performance and is a perfect match to the slim design of Fujifilm cameras.
Housing is all metal and the lens is weather-sealed to ensure use even in harsh weather conditions.
Lens construction consists of 12 elements in 10 groups with 5 special glasses ( 1 H-ASP, 1 ASP, and 3 ED); three extra low dispersion elements and the two aspherical ( H-ASP & ASP) elements have been incorporated into the optical design to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortion in order to produce sharper images.
Thanks to the optical construction the lens delivers an outstanding image quality from center to the edges of the frame, even at f/2.0 maximum aperture
UMC (Ultra Multi Coating) has been applied to the lens elements in order to reduce surface reflections and prevent lens flare and ghosting and to give better light transmission and more contrast.
