Transcontinenta GmbH becomes distribution partner for Samyang lenses

Transcontinenta GmbH is proud to announce that it has been appointed distributor of the Samyang lens brand for Germany and Austria with immediate effect.

LK Samyang has specialized in the manufacture of professional optical products for over 50 years. Under the brand names Samyang and XEEN, LK Samyang produces high-quality interchangeable lenses for photography and film. Customer satisfaction is the company's top priority, which is reflected in numerous positive customer reviews and a constant drive for innovation. LK Samyang's product portfolio includes high-quality lenses with autofocus or manual focus that are compatible with the cameras of leading camera manufacturers. Samyang's product groups include wide angle, telephoto, and standard lenses for mirrorless (CSC) cameras. Samyang also offers lenses specifically designed for video and film cameras. The outstanding quality of Samyang products is repeatedly confirmed by tests and positive feedback from journalists, professional photographers, filmmakers and other users. As a distribution partner, Transcontinenta offers a 5-year warranty on Samyang lenses.

Samyang autofocus lenses for photo

Samyang has been known for many years for its fast fixed focal length autofocus lenses. Despite their speed, the lenses are compact and lightweight. Their high image quality, fast and quiet focusing, splashproofing and the ability to easily update the firmware yourself make them very popular with photographers and filmmakers. The first zoom lens, the Samyang AF 24-70 F/2.8 FE, was launched in 2021. This lightweight zoom quickly became one of the most popular standard zoom lenses for reportage and wedding photographers. In 2023, the very fast AF 35-150mm F2-2.8 L zoom for Sony E-mount full-frame and Leica L-mount followed. Designed specifically for portrait photography, this zoom offers the most commonly used focal lengths of 85mm, 100mm and 135mm. The latest and most innovative addition to the AF range is the Samyang Remaster Slim Kit, a unique, very small magnetic base into which three different autofocus lenses can be magnetically clicked. The specially developed image characteristics, reminiscent of old analogue lenses, open up new creative possibilities for photographers and filmmakers.

Samyang V-AF Cine autofocus lenses

Many professional and advanced cinematographers were already using the wide range of fast Samyang MKII cine lenses with manual focus, but there was also a demand for autofocus cine lenses for fast and mobile work. To meet these demands, Samyang developed the Samyang V-AF series of fixed focal length lenses. This unique series of lenses, ranging from 20mm ultra wide angle to 100mm portrait, has a unique front bayonet mount to which a Samyang V-AF 1.7x Anamorphic MF adapter or the professional manual focus adapter can be attached. The LED tally light on the front lens indicates when the camera is recording - ideal for independent filmmakers. With support for 8K video, consistent form factor and colour balance, this compact and affordable range of AF cine lenses enables creative image making. The innovative combination of cine quality and autofocus functionality sets new standards in film production.
