Outstanding thermal image performance

Designing a thermal binocular that matches the ease, clarity, and portability of a classic binocular is no easy feat. Most thermal devices on the market are bulky, difficult to operate, and lack the intuitive experience of optical binoculars.

The new QUEST S50R stands apart from other thermal binoculars thanks to several key features:

• It mirrors the form factor, handling, and control layout of conventional binoculars, offering users an immediate sense of familiarity. Weighing under 750 grams, it allows for extended use without causing arm fatigue.

• Observation through both eyes significantly improves visual comfort. The dual 0.72-inch AMOLED round displays with 1920×1200 resolution each provide a full, immersive viewing experience, superior to single-eye thermal monoculars.

• The QUEST S50R delivers outstanding image quality. Powered by a Nocpix 1280×1024 thermal sensor with NETD ≤15 mK and a smooth 60Hz refresh rate, it captures even the most subtle temperature differences—far beyond what 640×512 sensors can detect.

• Paired with the Reality+ image enhancement algorithm and an ultra-bright F1.1 50mm lens, the S50R achieves remarkable clarity and light transmission, even in the darkest environments.

Ease of use with built-in rangefinder

The QUEST S50R is engineered with user ergonomics at its core. The centrally positioned zoom and focus controls allow easy one-handed operation—even with gloves on. Its four-button layout is simplified for quick access and intuitive control.

With a base magnification of 2× and a wide 17.5°×14° field of view (equivalent to 30×24 meters at 100m), it offers broader situational awareness than the QUEST H50R. This makes it easier to spot even the smallest birds or animals quickly. Thanks to the high-resolution sensor, detection is possible up to 2600 meters.

Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), powered by motion-sensing algorithms, compensates for hand shake and delivers smooth, clear imagery—even when tracking fast-moving subjects or scanning across uneven terrain. The integrated laser rangefinder (LRF) provides accurate distance measurements up to 1000 meters.

Unlike digital night vision devices that depend on infrared illuminators and have limited range, the thermal-only QUEST series performs reliably in complete darkness and bright daylight alike.

The Nocpix QUEST S50R will be available in the Benelux from mid- to late February 2026 through authorized Nocpix dealers.
