New Metal Gray Leica cameras: a statement in subtlety.

For over a century, Leica Camera AG has adhered to a design philosophy centred on functionality and minimalism, as reflected in precise lines and the classic camera colours of black and silver. A new metallic grey tone elegantly extends this iconic design language by adding a contemporary twist.

The metal grey paint finish will make its debut in the Leica M11-P, Leica Q3 and Leica D-Lux 8 cameras, as well as the Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH. A new range of accessories has also been introduced, opening up new avenues for you to express your personal style.

Leica M11-P and APO_Summicron-M 50 in Metal Gray

The first camera to be released in the new tone is the iconic Leica M11-P with a metal grey paint finish. Like all M-Cameras, it is handcrafted at the Leica factory in Wetzlar, Germany. Its design consistently adheres to the principle of understatement. The modern look of all the metallic grey cameras is enhanced by the characteristic diamond-patterned leatherette covering. This visual and tactile quality gives every detail a sense of durability. The camera forms a harmonious whole together with a Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH. lens featuring the metal grey paint finish, which will be available from 11 June 2026. The lens in the new tone looks particularly elegant, further emphasising the outstanding build quality of Leica products.

Leica Q3 and D-Lux-8 in Metal Gray

From 16 July, the compact Leica Q3 full-frame camera and the Leica D-Lux 8 compact camera will also both be available in a metal grey paint finish. From the versatility of the compact D-Lux 8 in capturing the moment to the Q3’s intuitive operation and optimum image quality, both cameras offer the freedom to share your unique perspective effortlessly, paired with a clean, minimalist design defined by deliberately understated style, now in metallic grey.

Additional accessories are also available to complement the new colour option. The new range of accessories includes carrying straps and protectors crafted from a new dark-brown leather, which emphasises the cameras’ character by adding a personal, stylish touch.

Prices and availability 

Leica products in the new colour option, as well as the new accessories in matching colours, are available from the Leica Store Amsterdam, the Leica Store Lisse and authorised Leica dealers. The Leica M11-P and the Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH. in a metallic grey lacquer finish will be available from 28 May 2026, with a recommended retail price of €9,290.00 and €8,950.00 respectively, including VAT. From 16 July 2026, the Leica Q3 and the Leica D-Lux 8 in a metallic grey lacquer finish will also be available, with a recommended retail price of €6,590.00 and €1,750.00 respectively.
