Leica in the Netherlands is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 18th edition of Fotofestival Naarden (FFN)

Leica in the Netherlands is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 18th edition of Fotofestival Naarden (FFN), which will take place from 13 June to 6 July 2025 in the historic fortified town of Naarden. After four years, the festival returns with a fresh programme and a central theme of 'Home'.

For many years, Fotofestival Naarden has been an important stage for new photographic talent from the Netherlands and Belgium. The festival offers photographers the opportunity to tell their stories, develop their creativity and take steps towards a professional career.

As a sponsor, Leica in the Netherlands contributes to the festival's mission: to make photography accessible to a wide audience. Both established and emerging photographers are given a platform to showcase their work. The collaboration fits perfectly with Leica's commitment to the world of photography and to supporting visual culture in the Netherlands.

This edition of the festival coincides with a special milestone for Leica: the brand is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Leica I. Exactly a century ago, the iconic Leica I 35mm camera was first presented at the Leipzig Spring Fair. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in the history of photography. This anniversary is dedicated to the special story behind Leica and the people who made it possible.

Photo Festival Naarden 2025 offers a rich programme of exhibitions, lectures, workshops and activities for photographers, students and enthusiasts. Curator Róman Kienjet selected 11 photographers living in the Netherlands who depict the theme “Home” in a personal and surprising way.
