Firmware update and official Adobe lens profiles available for Samyang lenses

Transcontinenta Group, the official distributor of Samyang in the Benelux, Germany, and Austria, announces a new firmware update for the Samyang & Schneider Kreuznach AF 14-24mm F2.8 FE lens, along with the release of official Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop lens profiles for several Samyang AF-lenses.

Samyang is continuously improving the functionality and compatibility of its lenses. Through firmware updates, the lenses are fine-tuned to new cameras and often gain new features. The availability of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop lens profiles for the V-AF, Prime and Zoom series enhances professional workflows by offering more efficient, automated image correction.

Firmware Update AF 14-24mm F2.8 FE

For the Samyang & Schneider Kreutznach AF 14-24mm F2.8 FE firmware V2 offers the following improvements:

  •  Enhanced operational stability
  • Improved aperture control stability
  • Enhanced overall reliability and performance

Users can update the firmware themselves using the built-in USB-C port on the lens and the Samyang Lens Manager software. Both the software and installation instructions are available on the LK Samyang website.

Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop lens profiles

Official lens profiles are now available for several lenses in the Samyang V-AF, Prime, and Zoom series. These profiles correct distortion and vignetting automatically, improving editing speed and consistency in post-production.

Supported lenses:

  • Zoom Series: AF 14-24mm F2.8 FE (Ver 2) and AF 35-150mm F2-2.8 FE 

  • Prime Series: AF 24mm F1.8 FE

  • V-AF Series: V-AF 20mm T1.9 FE, V-AF 24mm T1.9 FE, V-AF 35mm T1.9 F, V-AF 45mm T1.9 F, V-AF 75mm T1.9 F, and V-AF 100mm T2.3 FE
