New: Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD (B070x) for FUJIFILM X

Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD B070x for FUJIFILM X

Transcontinenta UK Ltd., the Tamron distributor for the UK and Ireland introduces a new bright zoom lens for Fujifilm APS-C mirrorless cameras: the Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Model B070x.

Since its launch in 2021, the Sony FE version of Tamron’s 17-70mm F2.8 VC RXD lens has won many awards in the standard zoom lens category, remarking on its outstanding optical performance and its compact & lightweight design.  Now Fuji X mount mirrorless camera users will have the same opportunity to purchase this razor sharp and VC optically stabilized lens to really make the most of the incredible sensor performance from their Fujifilm X mount mirrorless cameras.

Unique VC AI technology for stable video recording

This Tamron 17-70mm lens features a maximum aperture of F2.8 across the entire 4.1x zoom ratio that covers the focal length range of 17-70mm (full-frame equivalent of 25.5-105mm). It’s small and lightweight design is equipped with VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism to minimize camera shake, which also leverages AI technology when shooting video. Focussing is both fast and quiet with Tamron’s RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) AF motor and the optical design has great control, limiting focus breathing to a minimum. These two features give this lens great credentials for videographers and stills shooters to create outstanding results using a mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera.

Powerful macro capabilities at just 19 centimetres!

For added versatility, the 17-70mm F2.8 offers a really close MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 19cm at the wide-angle end and 39cm at the telephoto end. This allows a flower or butterfly, for example, to be captured in full screen. The lens is also well protected from the elements with Moisture-Resistant Construction having seals to protect the moving surfaces of the lens, along with a Fluorine Coating on the front lens element to make it water and oil repellent, as well as easy to clean. Its 67mm filter size is the same as the Tamron 18-300mm for Fuji X mount, making it easy to swap Polarizers, ND and other filters between lenses.

It's broad zoom range and high image quality will help you to capture all the excitement and discoveries with the finest possible detail, either for photography or videography, with its fast F2.8 aperture, VC stabilization and moisture resistant construction.

Unique features:
  • World's first bright 4.1x zoom lens for APS-C cameras with 17-70mm zoom range
