Two SWB-stallions are awarded ”rising stallions” of 2024

The distinction is given annually to one showjumping stallion and one dressage stallion, recognizing sires that have made a promising start in their breeding careers and whose offspring show potential as future sport horses.
Criteria for rising stallions:
– The stallion must have a Swedish studbook number.
– The stallion must have at least 15 tested/competing offspring.
– The stallion must have competed successfully or be actively competing.
– A stallion can only receive this award once.

Rising Stallion Dressage: Springbank II VH (SWB) 9272
Springbank II VH (SWB) was approved in Denmark in 2017, winning the Danish 35-day performance test with 954.5 points and later crowned Danish Champion Stallion as a four-year-old. He also won the Breeders Trophy as a four- and six-year-old, and at seven, he won the seven-year-old championship. Additionally, he has competed in the World Young Horse Championships as a five- and six-year-old and now has international 5* Grand Prix merits.
His oldest offspring were born in 2018, with 110 SWB-registered foals, 95 of which were born between 2018-2021. Among 46 tested offspring, 25 received diplomas (54%). His sons Droom’s Oleander (SWB) 1449 and Scarabus VH (SWB) 1498 were approved at premier level in the stallion performance test, while others, such as Åtoftens Springtime and Sénégal de Fontaine, have been approved abroad and contributed to Swedish breeding. His daughter, Spumante VH (SWB), won the National Mare Championship in 2022, with several other offspring excelling in young horse championships. Springbank II VH has a dressage breeding index of 156 and was awarded an A-status for offspring performance in 2023.
Rising Stallion Showjumping: Point Break (SWB) 1374
International superstar Point Break (SWB), was approved in 2018 and has excelled in international 1.60m competitions. Out of 36 starts at this level, he has won or placed in 21. His oldest offspring were born in 2019, with a total of 74 SWB-registered foals by 2024. Among his 58 offspring born between 2019-2021, twelve have been tested at young horse tests, with two receiving diplomas. Nine of his young offspring have already competed in young horse classes. Point Break has a jumping breeding index of 137 and was awarded A-status for his breeding contribution in 2024.
