Singapore Environment Council (SEC) and TCO Development, the organization behind the global sustainability certification for IT products, TCO Certified, have signed a market collaboration agreement to drive the adoption of trusted ecolabels for IT products and promote sustainable procurement in Singapore.
By working together, SEC and TCO Development seek to encourage businesses, institutions, and government agencies to incorporate sustainability into their procurement decisions. The agreement will provide organizations with better access to certified sustainable IT products, allowing them to reduce environmental impact, and support responsible production and consumption.
The agreement was signed by SEC Executive Director Mr KC Cheang and TCO Development CEO Mr Sören Enholm. The signing was witnessed by Ambassador of Sweden to Singapore Mr. Anders Sjoberg, IMDA Assistant CEO Dr Chen Hui Ong. Signature witnesses are TCO Development Chairman Mr. Jan Gerlofstig, and SEC Chairman and Vice Chair of the Global Ecolabelling Network, GEN, Ms. Isabella Huang Loh PBM.
