Nordic Climate Group is taking yet another step in its international expansion through the acquisition of a Dutch group consisting of six cooling specialists: Cooling Systems Holland (CSH), Cooling Service Holland, Installatiebedrijf Bakker BV, MIB Installatietechniek, TCB, and 3BG Cooling. This is NCG’s third acquisition in the Netherlands after the company’s launch there in June 2024, when Compair Airconditioning B.V. and T&S Klimaattechniek B.V. joined its ranks. Through this step, Nordic Climate Group strengthens its position as a leader in energy-efficient and sustainable cooling solutions in northern Europe. Nordic Climate Group now comprises more than 1,700 employees in over 100 locations throughout Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. The Dutch section of the group has approximately 170 employees, with turnover amounting to EUR 45 million.
Operating in the cities of Oosterwolde and Assen in the country’s northeast, the newly acquired group has more than 120 years of experience in the cooling industry. The companies focus primarily on the B2B market, the public sector, and data centres in the Netherlands, but they also have a significant presence in the fruit and food industries, both in and outside the Netherlands. Their offering is based on innovative, tailored solutions in design, production, installation, and service of sustainable and energy-efficient cooling and freezing systems.
- These companies will feel right at home within Nordic Climate Group. Their extensive competence and impressive growth journey are precisely what we’re looking for to bolster our presence in the Netherlands. We look forward to welcoming more leading companies and entrepreneurs seeking to develop and draw on the strength offered by being part of Nordic Climate Group, notes Joseph Kuling, chair of Nordic Climate Group Netherlands B.V.
CSH, Bakker, and TCB, along with their sister companies and subsidiaries, are being acquired from Edwin Walstra, Hans Fijlstra, and Sicco Rust. The previous owners will continue to operate these companies in their current roles. Nordic Climate Group’s business model is based on a decentralized structure, which means that the group’s companies continue operation under their local brands and retain their strong focus on quality in their customer assignments.
- Our group of companies has enjoyed many years of success, and some areas of the group have been in operation for more than a century. Now, as part of Nordic Climate Group, we can preserve what’s historically made us successful while we can also benefit from being part of a larger team, explain Edwin Walstra, Hans Fijlstra, and Sicco Rust.
- We’re very happy to be part of a group that’s successful in the Nordics and northern Europe. This makes us an even more attractive partner for our customers, and an innovative employer. This is the case for our current team and new, highly qualified and experienced employees. We can definitely benefit from the unique strengths offered by this international network of like-minded cooling companies, say Edwin and Hans.
Nordic Climate Group focuses on helping its customers minimize their climate footprint and maximize energy efficiency. The plan is to continue building a leading company in Northern Europe, with strong organic growth as well as expansion through acquisitions. The model is founded on entrepreneurial spirit, decentralized operations with cooperation in business, negotiations, and procurement, effective training, and sharing of technological know-how.
