Niam acquires 193 rental apartments under development

Residential development in Jönköping, Sweden

Niam has signed a forward-commitment agreement to acquire 193 rental units under development which are expected to be completed in 2023. The properties are beautifully located in Jönköping municipality, in southern Sweden. They will maintain a high technical standard with, among other things, balconies and solar cells on the roofs.

The properties are a good addition that strengthens our growing residential portfolio. We are now looking forward to a continued good collaboration with HP Boendeutveckling and Ulricehamns Betong AB, that are responsible for production”.

The buildings will be 10, 12 and 14 stories high and contain apartments ranging from 32 and 75 sqm. Most of the apartments will have a large glass balcony with the possibility of view over Vättern, Sweden’s second largest lake”, says Carolina Axelsson, CEO of Ulricehamns Betong.  

The deal is conditional on investment support being granted.

Niam will take over in three stages, which are estimated in Q2, Q3 and Q4 2023.
