Laowa introduces the 24mm f/2 Zero-D Tilt-Shift, a wide-angle lens combining an exceptionally fast f/2 aperture with precise control over perspective and focus.
Designed for architectural, interior, landscape and commercial photography, the lens offers ±12 mm of shift and up to ±10° of tilt, together with Laowa's Zero-D optical design for minimal distortion.

The 24mm focal length provides an 84° angle of view on full-frame cameras, making it particularly suitable for photographing buildings, interiors and landscapes. With a maximum aperture of f/2, the lens is approximately 1.6 stops faster than conventional 24mm f/3.5 tilt-shift lenses, offering significant advantages when working in low light, including interiors, twilight scenes and astrophotography.

Precise control over perspective and focus

The shift function allows photographers to adjust the composition without tilting the camera. This is particularly useful in architectural photography, where pointing a camera upwards causes vertical lines to converge. By keeping the camera level and shifting the lens instead, buildings can be photographed with straight, parallel vertical lines, reducing the need for perspective correction and cropping in post-production. Shift can also be used to capture multiple images for high-resolution panoramas and architectural compositions.

The tilt function changes the orientation of the plane of focus, making it possible to extend the area of apparent sharpness across subjects at different distances without relying entirely on smaller apertures. Alternatively, tilt can be used creatively to isolate selected parts of an image, producing distinctive selective-focus and miniature effects.

Fast aperture and advanced optical construction

Laowa's Zero-D optical design minimises geometric distortion, an important advantage when photographing architecture, interiors and subjects containing straight lines. The optical construction consists of 13 elements in 10 groups, including five ED elements, four high-refractive-index elements and two aspherical elements, designed to maintain sharpness and control chromatic aberration.

A large 67 mm image circle provides coverage for full-frame cameras and also supports Fujifilm GFX and Hasselblad XCD medium-format systems, where the lens offers a wide-angle perspective together with tilt and shift functionality.

Despite its fast aperture and extensive movements, the lens measures 93 × 119 mm and weighs approximately 860 g. It features an all-metal construction, manual focusing, a 14-blade diaphragm, a 77 mm filter thread and an integrated Arca-Swiss compatible lens support.

The Laowa 24mm f/2 Zero-D Tilt-Shift will be available in Sony E, Nikon Z, Canon RF, L-Mount, Fujifilm GFX and Hasselblad XCD versions.
