Hikmicro launches STELLAR 4.0 and THUNDER 4.0
Hikmicro Stellar 4.0Hikmicro presents STELLAR 4.0 and THUNDER 4.0, two ranges designed for thermal observation and hunting. This product launch contains four thermal rifle scopes and three compact clip-on models.
The ranges combine high-resolution thermal sensors with Hikmicro’s latest image processing, shutterless image display and integrated laser rangefinding. The models are designed for continuous observation in varying weather conditions and are used for both short-range observation and long-range identification.
Image processing for detail in varying conditions
All models utilise thermal sensors with a 12 μm pixel pitch and and has a NETD at <12mK. Hikmicro Image Pro 4.0 processes the image data to reproduce detail, whilst the Hikmicro Shutterless Image System, together with Sync Pro, provides a continuous image without the recurring interruptions that traditional shutter calibration can entail. The integrated rangefinder is housed within the lens and has a measuring range of up to 1,200 metres. All seven models also feature 64 GB of built-in storage, photo capture, video and audio recording, and recoil-activated recording.
Designed for use in demanding outdoor environments
The STELLAR 4.0 and THUNDER 4.0 are IP67-rated and specified for a maximum recoil load of 6,000 joules. All models can be used at temperatures as low as −30 °C. The maximum operating temperature is +55 °C for the STELLAR models and the THUNDER TQ35CL 4.0, and +50 °C for the THUNDER TQ50CL 4.0 and TX70CL 4.0.
STELLAR 4.0 - four combinations of sensor and mount
The STELLAR 4.0 retains the shape of a traditional rifle scope and is available with either a standard mount for 30 mm rings or a rail mount. The SQ50 models feature a sensor with a resolution of 640 × 512 pixels and a 50 mm F1.0 lens, whilst the SX75 models combine a 1,280 × 1,024 sensor with a 75 mm F1.2 lens. The detection range is up to 2,600 and 3,600 metres respectively.
All models feature a 1.03-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,560 × 2,560 pixels. They support five zeroing profiles and ballistic calculation. The SQ50L and SX75L are designed for 30 mm rings, whilst the SQ50LR and SX75LR feature a rail mount.
THUNDER 4.0 - clip-on and monocular
THUNDER 4.0 comprises three compact clip-on models that are mounted in front of a traditional rifle scope and can also be used as handheld thermal spotter scopes. The series features a 0.49-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,080 pixels and is designed for rifle scopes with 1–15× magnification. The magnesium alloy construction is IP67-rated and fitted with a replaceable, rechargeable HM-3840DC battery.
The TQ35CL and TQ50CL feature a thermal sensor with a resolution of 640 × 512 pixels and are fitted with 35 mm and 50 mm F1.0 lenses respectively. They offer a detection range of up to 1,800 and 2,600 metres respectively. The TX70CL combines a sensor with a resolution of 1,280 × 1,024 pixels with a 70 mm F1.3 lens and has a detection range of up to 3,500 metres. The TQ35CL offers a wide field of view, whilst the TQ50CL is designed for observation at longer ranges. The TX70CL offers both the highest sensor resolution and the longest detection range in the series. Depending on the model, the operating time is at least five hours with the Wi-Fi hotspot switched off.
