The finals at Fristads Arena in Heden drew huge crowds in the beautiful summer weather. Thousands of handball fans followed the final day’s action. On the court, there was euphoria, joy and disappointment. And a great deal of excellent handball from talented players, many of whom could become the stars of the future.

– It’s about more than just winning a final. It’s about experiencing the feeling of being part of something bigger, together with thousands of young people from all over the world. With glorious sunshine, packed stands and fantastic emotions, it was a final day to remember, says Fredrik Andersson, General Secretary of the Partille World Cup.

A total of 1,400 teams from 36 nations took part in this year’s edition of the world’s largest handball tournament, setting a new record.

Another new feature this year was that all 4,784 matches were live-streamed. And there are many people keen to watch the youth handball matches being played in Gothenburg. There were a total of 615,000 views during the week.
