Insta360 introduces Luna Ultra, a compact flagship gimbal camera co-engineered with Leica and built for creators who want professional-looking results from a camera they can bring anywhere. With a dual-lens Leica Summicron system, high-resolution video, 37MP photos, intelligent shooting modes and a lightweight 232 g design, Luna Ultra gives users a powerful tool for travel, vlogging, social content, behind-the-scenes production and everyday storytelling.

The camera features two Leica Summicron lenses for flexible image creation. The main lens uses a 1" sensor with an F1.8 aperture, delivering excellent image quality, strong low-light performance and a natural look for wide scenes and everyday filming. The telephoto lens features a 1/1.3" sensor with an F2.0 aperture, making it easier to capture tighter compositions, details and more cinematic perspectives. With a focus range from 15 cm to infinity, Luna Ultra is suitable for everything from close-up product shots to wider travel scenes and dynamic handheld content.

Luna Ultra is designed to support both quick sharing and more advanced production workflows. The camera records MP4 video using H.265 encoding, with a maximum bitrate of 120 Mbps for detailed, efficient video capture. It supports Standard, Dolby Vision and I-Log 10-bit color profiles, giving creators the option to shoot ready-to-share footage or capture more flexible files for editing and color grading. For stills, Luna Ultra offers Standard Photo and Pure Photo modes, with JPG and JPG+RAW formats and resolution up to 37MP.

A wide range of creative video modes helps users capture more varied content directly in-camera. Luna Ultra includes Standard Video, PureVideo, Slow Motion, TimeLapse, TimeShift, Rotational Video, Dolly Zoom and Barrel Roll, making it easy to create dynamic clips without a complicated setup. Combined with a 6-axis gyroscope and smooth gimbal performance, the camera helps deliver stable footage whether users are walking, travelling, filming handheld or creating social-first video.

Audio has also been carefully considered. Luna Ultra features four built-in microphones with 32-bit Hi-Fi audio, automatic wind noise reduction and voice enhancement, helping creators capture clearer sound directly from the camera. This makes it a practical option for vlogging, interviews, travel videos and spontaneous content where external audio equipment is not always available.

Despite its advanced feature set, Luna Ultra remains compact and easy to use. It supports microSD cards, Bluetooth, USB-C 3.0 and wireless connectivity, making it simple to record, transfer and manage content on the go. The camera records for up to 4 hours at 1080p24fps and can charge to 80% in about 23 minutes, giving creators more time to shoot and less time waiting between sessions.
