Väderstad, one of the world’s leading companies in tillage, seeding and planting, introduces a complete remake of its mounted telescopic planter, Tempo T 6–7. Tempo T features a unique telescopic frame solution, making it stand out from the crowd in terms of versatility, user‑friendliness and field performance.
To handle a wide diversity of crops, fields and farming conditions, a mounted telescopic planter must be able to combine excellent planting precision with the highest level of versatility.
- When designing the next‑generation Tempo T, we put extra focus on one main thing – the telescopic function. We set the bar high: a robust frame, a clean and simple design, excellent accessibility and, above all, the simplest and fastest row‑spacing adjustment on the market, says Oskar Karlsson, Vice President Product & Development Planters, at Väderstad, and adds:
- On the new Tempo T, row spacing is now adjusted easily with a single handle – all rows at the same time.
Tempo T is available in two base models: Tempo T 6 and Tempo T 7. The Tempo T 6 has six row units and can be adjusted between 450, 500, 600, 700 or 750 mm row spacing. The seven‑row model, Tempo T 7, can be adjusted between 500, 600 and 800 mm row spacing. When set to 800 mm, one row unit is lifted, allowing the machine to operate with six rows at 800 mm row spacing.
- To change the row spacing, simply pull out the handle conveniently located on one side of the machine. Select the desired row spacing, and push it back in. Thanks to the smart mechanical linkage, all rows are adjusted simultaneously, says Oskar Karlsson.
From the tractor cab, the operator hydraulically activates the telescopic frame to complete the change. The unfolding process is clearly visualised in the iPad‑based control system, Väderstad E‑Control.
- Integrated sensors communicate the selected row spacing to the iPad in the tractor cab, ensuring full accuracy and effortless setup every time, says Oskar Karlsson.
The new Tempo T 6–7 features Väderstad’s new‑generation row unit, designed to deliver high‑speed planting precision and performance – seed by seed, row by row. The machine will be available to order from October 2026, with the first serial‑produced machines ready for the spring season of 2027.
