Samyang AF 14-24mm F2.8 launches for L-mount cameras
Samyang AF 14-24mm F2.8 LFollowing its earlier release for Sony E-mount, the AF 14-24mm F2.8 is now available for L-Mount. The ultra-wide zoom offers a constant F2.8 aperture, front filter support and weighs just 441g.
The AF 14-24mm F2.8 L is a versatile super-wide zoom lens for L-Mount users who want to pack smaller, carry lighter and capture more. Developed jointly with Schneider-Kreuznach, the lens combines German optical expertise with Samyang's advanced technology to deliver high image quality in a compact and practical design. The lens is previously available for the Sony E-mount
With its 14–24mm focal range and constant F2.8 aperture, the AF 14-24mm F2.8 L is well suited to landscapes, cityscapes, architecture, interiors, night skies, travel photography and environmental portraits. Covering an expansive angle of view from 114.2° to 84.1° on full-frame cameras, it gives photographers the freedom to capture dramatic perspectives while keeping the kit light.
The optical construction features 15 elements in 11 groups, including 3 ASP, 5 HR and 3 ED elements. This advanced design delivers sharp, high-resolution results from the centre of the frame to the edges, even when shooting wide open at F2.8. Effective correction of chromatic aberration and sagittal coma also makes the lens a strong option for nightscapes and astrophotography.
A key advantage of the AF 14-24mm F2.8 L is its front filter compatibility. Unlike many conventional super-wide zoom lenses, it accepts 77mm front filters, allowing photographers to use polarising and ND filters for creative control in landscapes, long exposures, video production and outdoor work.
For fast and reliable focusing, the AF 14-24mm F2.8 L is equipped with Samyang's linear STM autofocus motor, providing quick, quiet and accurate AF performance for both stills and video. Additional user-friendly features include an AF/MF switch, a focus hold button and weather sealing for greater confidence in changing shooting conditions.
