Nowaste Logistics is entering the beverage logistics segment through the establishment of its first terminal in Stockholm. On the first of April this year, Nowaste will start operations in Jordbro, and at the same time enter a completely new segment. Two new customers are now confirmed.
It is now clear that The Wine & Spirits Collective and Sophronie Wines are also choosing Nowaste as their logistics partner. The first partner in the initiative was Solera.
The new agreements strengthen the business with increased volumes. This in turn creates conditions for additional customers, and the prospects of filling the terminal now look very good, says Victor Strånge, Operations Manager and Business Lead at Nowaste Logistics.
The establishment in Jordbro marks the start of Nowaste Logistics’ investment in beverage logistics, an area where requirements for traceability, handling, and delivery precision are very high.
This is a new segment for us, but our experience of efficient and sustainable logistics gives us a strong foundation. We see great potential in the segment and are grateful for the trust we have been given, says Victor Strånge.
We think this is very exciting, and it’s great that for the first time in many years a new player is entering beverage logistics. A player that feels forward-leaning with a strong vision for the future. We look forward to, together with Nowaste, challenging the industry not only in terms of taste but also logistically, says Gabriel Eriksson, CEO, TWSCollective.
As a sommelier, talking about logistics and discussing flows outside the glass, that decanting is not only a concept within the beverage industry but also within logistics, I didn’t think so. But how fun logistics is, and as nerdy as we are about beverages, Nowaste is about logistics. We look forward to this, says Kalle Rosén, CEO, Sophronie Wines AB.
Ahead of the start-up, Nowaste expects to recruit approximately around 50 people initially. The ambition is for the operation to grow in the coming years, and the workforce is expected to double during the year.
