Väderstad, one of the world’s leading companies in tillage, drilling and precision planting, reports revenue of SEK 5.9 billion and profit before tax of SEK 370 million for the 2025 financial year.

Revenue for the 2025 financial year decreased by 3% compared with the previous year, while profit before tax strengthened significantly, as a result of initiated cost reductions and an increased focus on costs and capital tied up in operations.

Regional differences during the year

The year was characterised by varying demand across different markets. Operations in Canada recorded record volumes, particularly within the Seed Hawk segment, while other markets were marked by more cautious investment behaviour and organisational adjustments.

In Europe, market conditions remained challenging, with dealers showing reluctance to build inventory while farmers’ willingness to invest was affected by pressured grain prices and geopolitical uncertainty. Despite this, Väderstad maintained stability and continued to strengthen operational efficiency.

“Market conditions have been challenging in several of our markets. Our focus has been to adapt operations while ensuring that we remain strong in the long term,” says Henrik Gilstring, CEO of Väderstad Group. “For the current year, we are now seeing a recovery in the European market, which is positive, while market conditions in the North American market are more challenging.”

Continued product development

The company has continued to invest in product development and digitalisation. The next-generation row unit for Tempo and Proceed has been launched, along with further developed concepts for ultra-shallow tillage. The digital service E-Connect provides users with improved access to machine data in real time. The Spirit seed drill has also received a major update during the year to increase seeding precision.

These developments strengthen farmers’ ability to optimise input use and ensure stable establishment under varying growing conditions.

Sustainability report published

In connection with the results, Väderstad is also publishing its Sustainability Report for 2025. Sustainability work is an integrated part of the company’s business plan.

Through precision and ultra-shallow tillage, our products enable customers to farm more with less impact. During the year, energy efficiency and resource optimisation in production were further improved, while the focus on leadership, competence development and systematic work environment management continued.
