Ahead of Agritechnica 2025, visitors arriving in Hannover will see Väderstads latest planting technology in action. The field next to the airport has been planted using the new advanced system, demonstrating next-generation planting precision at full scale – a real-world showcase of technology in practice.
Väderstad has a long tradition of letting its innovations prove themselves in the field. This year, the demonstration takes place in a highly visible location, at two fields right beside the runway at Hannover Airport, where thousands of visitors will get a first glimpse of the new row unit from the air. In the field there is a Väderstad logo, tagline as well as illustration of the new generation row unit from Väderstad. One field is 6,75ha and the other is 5,24ha in size.
The fields serves as both laboratory and stage, making precision, performance, and design visible at real scale. The new row unit is a complete redesign of Väderstads proven Tempo and Proceed system, offering improved precision, easier operation, and enhanced durability with advanced electronics and in-cab controls.
- The result is not just an upgrade – it’s a complete redesign, says Oskar Karlsson, Vice President Product & Development Planters at Väderstad, and adds:
- By letting the new row unit reveal itself and prove its performance in the field, we show that our innovations don’t just look good on paper – they deliver in real life.
The image in the field was made possible by utilizing the advanced electronics and precision of the next generation Tempo planter. The machine has planted two crops at once - one from the seed meter and one from the micro granulate metering system. The seeding was prepared with a prescription map, depicting what each row should seed where. When planting the machine automatically turned each seed type on and off, based on GPS location in the field.
The Hannover Airport field demonstration offers a unique opportunity to see tomorrow’s planting precision solutions grow – literally before the eyes of incoming Agritechnica visitors.
