Transcontinenta Group, Leica distributor in the Netherlands, is proud to present two new lines of Leica Televid spotting scopes that set new standards in performance. A comprehensive range of accessories expands their versatility, including advanced digiscoping options for cameras and smartphones.
The new flagship model, the Leica APO-Televid 82 & 65, offers minimal colour fringing, outstanding image quality, and maximum sharpness. The new Leica Televid HD 82 & 65 delivers the best-in-class brightness. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or an avid nature enthusiast, Leica now provides the ideal solution for wildlife observation, birding, or scientific applications.
Both the Leica APO-Televid and the Leica Televid HD lines are available in two sizes with angled view: 65 mm and 82 mm objective lenses. The newly developed High Lux Pro (HLP™) system ensures top performance in low-light situations with unmatched colour neutrality and brilliance. All models feature Leica’s dual-focus system, a robust and lightweight magnesium housing, and timeless ergonomic design. Two premium eyepieces increase versatility: users can choose between the trusted Leica Vario eyepiece 25x–50x WW ASPH. or the new Leica Vario eyepiece 20x–60x for higher magnification. Digiscoping with cameras or smartphones has never been easier. A new premium carbon tripod completes the Leica spotting scope system.
The new Leica spotting scope system consists of four models: two compact versions with a 65-mm objective and two larger ones with an 82-mm objective. The top-tier Leica APO-Televid features the lowest level of colour fringing, ideal for observers who rely on subtle details and colour gradations for bird identification. The apochromatic correction provides maximum suppression of chromatic aberration for even more detail and sharpness.
The bright and versatile Leica Televid HD perfectly complements the APO flagship. With world-class brightness and superb colour fidelity, it’s the perfect companion for observations in poor weather or twilight conditions. Both lines feature the High Lux Pro (HLP™) lens system for unparalleled brilliance and colour neutrality. The dual-focus system allows precise adjustment via two broad focusing wheels. Thanks to a minimum focus distance of just 2.9 meters on the 65-mm models, even small insects can be observed with impressive clarity.
Leica has long stood for world-class photography and exceptional product quality. The new accessories make digiscoping with the Televid models easier and more efficient than ever. The Leica Q adapter connects the Leica Q full-frame camera (with special digiscoping mode) directly to the spotting scope eyepiece. Owners of Leica SL or M cameras can photograph through the eyepiece using the optimized Leica 35 mm digiscoping lens, which can be mounted to other systems via a T2 adapter. Captured images can be instantly transferred and edited via the Leica FOTOS app on a smartphone.
Smartphone-based digiscoping has also become easier than ever. The magnetic adapter system by Ollin allows nearly any smartphone to be securely and quickly attached – true “click and shoot” digiscoping without the need for alignment.
The Leica spotting scope system includes the high-performance Leica Vario eyepiece 25x–50x WW ASPH., offering the widest field of view and edge-to-edge sharpness, and the new Leica Vario eyepiece 20x–60x for distant subjects and finer details. The Leica Extender 1.8x fits all models and nearly doubles the magnification, ideal for long-range observations. A new Leofoto carbon tripod, customized for Leica, delivers maximum stability with a smooth fluid video head and is directly compatible with the Televid’s ARCA-SWISS rail. The Cordura ever-ready case is tailor-made for the spotting scope and provides protection during transport and in extreme conditions.
Every Leica Televid spotting scope guarantees a superior viewing experience and ensures that every observation becomes unforgettable.
