New Insta360 X5 offers enhanced 8K 360° movies by using a larger sensor

New Insta360 X5 offers enhanced 8K 360° movies by using a larger sensor

Transcontinenta Group, distributor of Insta360 in the Benelux, announces the launch of the new Insta360 X5. This is Insta360’s most powerful and durable 360° action camera to date. Following the success of the Insta360 X4, the X5 marks a significant step forward in image quality, durability, and ease of use.

The Insta360 X5 pushes the limits of what a 360° action camera can offer. The larger 1/1.28" sensor dramatically improves dynamic range and low-light performance, while maintaining sharpness even during fast-paced movement. Night footage is cleaner and more detailed thanks to the new PureVideo mode, which works together with a Triple AI Chip to handle challenging lighting scenarios with ease. The result: consistent clarity during the day and night!

Designed with durability in mind

The X5 is also built to last. Its lenses are made from reinforced optical gorilla glass and can now be replaced by the user. This is a first for this product line and which makes the X5 more sustainable and cost-efficient over time. Audio recording has been overhauled too, with an improved wind guard and smarter noise filtering algorithms delivering crisper sound, even in harsh windy environments. Battery life has been extended significantly, supporting long shooting sessions without interruptions. PD Fast-charging ensures you’re back up and running in minutes, not hours.

For users who value flexibility and speed, new features like InstaFrame mode allow immediate sharing of flat 180° videos from the same 360° movie clip used for editing later. It’s a workflow designed for the pace of modern content creation. Whether you're filming action sports, travel vlogs, or professional commercial work, the Insta360 X5 is designed to keep up with your own pace, and then some.

Shoot in 8K. Share in second

The Insta360 X5 records immersive 360° footage in 8K with the clarity and sharpness made possible by larger 1/1.28" sensors and delivering the best image quality Insta360 has ever produced. Users can shoot first and frame later with full creative freedom and no compromise in detail, even in low light. Whether filming action scenes or daily moments, the camera’s built-in stabilization and invisible selfie stick effect give users the tools to craft cinematic content on the go.

All the improvements make the Insta360 X5 not just an upgrade, but a clear leap in all-round action camera performance and usability.
