Finland’s Minister of Finance: “Climate targets will increase the demand for wood”

According to Matti Vanhanen, Finland’s Minister of Finance, the forest industry must prepare for the fact that the trend in paper demand will continue to decline. “This trend created as a result of digitalisation cannot be reversed, but something new must be sought to replace paper production. There will be enough demand for wood in industry, now we need to develop products with a high degree of processing and value.”
