After a busy start to the week, it has been a quiet couple of days for green news. That will change in the lead up to Sweden's budget, with major announcements expected about sustainability in Sweden.

Last year, Apple announced its plans to make the entire company carbon neutral by 2030. This week, Apple announced that it is investing in the construction of two of the world's largest onshore wind turbines. The wind project in Esbjerg follows up on the completion of one of Scandinavia's largest solar cell plants in North Jutland, the first Danish solar project built without the use of public subsidies. The 200-metre-high turbines are expected to deliver 62 GWh/yr, enough to power almost 20,000. The power produced in Esbjerg helps to run Apple's data centre in Viborg, with the excess power goes straight back into the Danish power grid.
