Baker Hughes buys Norway’s Compact Carbon Capture
Baker Hughes, an American oil and gas oilfield services said it would buy Norway-based Compact Carbon Capture, as it tries to expand its footprint in preparation for a transition to a low-carbon future. Baker said the deal for Compact Carbon Capture, which develops technology specialising in CCS, includes all intellectual property, personnel, and commercial agreements. Baker is targeting net zero emissions by 2050.
Ørsted eager to buy Germany’s ib vogt
Danish energy giant Ørsted is looking to buy ib vogt, a project developer in solar energy, sources told Reuters. ib vogt has a pipeline of over 16 GW of solar energy. But other acquirers are also circling. In addition to Ørsted, Deutsche Bank-owned trustee DWS and Canadian Northland Power also want it sources say. It is expected that the company will be sold for about €360 million.

Nordion Energi joins the European Hydrogen Alliance
Nordion Energi, a Swedish energy group specializing in infrastructure is joining the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance an initiative from the European Commission to drive the implementation of the EU's hydrogen strategy.
European Energy builds 300 MW of Danish solar
Aabenraa's City Council has approved European Energy's plans to establish a large solar cell plant. The plant’s 300MW can supply green power to more than 75,000 households, making it one of the largest to be built in Northern Europe.
Seatwirl, a developer of technology for offshore wind power, has decided to carry out a rights issue for SEK 49.8 million. The purpose is to provide working capital and finance continued development and production of the Seatwirl S2.
Cortus Energy reports 3Q20 loss
Cortus Energy, whose business model is to turn waste into renewable fuels reported an operating loss of SEK 13.1 million for the third quarter. During the third quarter, Cortus continued to work towards milestones on its Höganäs project. CEO Håkan Sigfridsson explained, "We are preparing an updated 6 MW plant in parallel for ordering one to two such plants within 12 months. The next project will be to supply syngas plants for primarily hydrogen and electricity production or synthetic natural gas for vehicles"
