Aker Offshore Wind and Hexicon enter into agreement for floating winds off the Swedish coast

Stockholm-based Hexicon was founded in 2009 and has an experienced team that develops floating offshore wind power projects with other established industrial partners in countries such as South Korea and Scotland. Hexicon has a patented technology for floating wind farms that makes it possible to generate large amounts of renewable energy at sea, and develops wind power projects in deep water areas. It has participated in development projects worldwide, including the world's largest floating wind farm outside South Korea. Now Hexicon and Aker Offshore Wind have agreed to work together to further develop project opportunities that are at an early stage in Sweden. The companies intend to establish a 50-50 joint venture collaboration with the ambition of implementing several Swedish projects with a total capacity of several gigawatts. EQT founder buys majority of hydrogen company

EQT founder Conni Jonsson's private-company, Qarlbo has bought 51% of the Gothenburg hydrogen technology company, Nilsson Energy for around SEK 40 million. Nilsson Energy integrates different types of hydrogen solutions with several different types of customers. In 2019 it had sales of SEK 10 million and made an operating loss of approximately SEK 0.4 million. Qarlbro’s CEO Per-Arne Blomquist commented, "There are a lot of projects in the pipeline, and we have good hopes of being able to grow this company in the future." (Dagens industri)
