Finland’s President tells UN Finland will be world leader in climate action
President Sauli Niinistö addressed the UN General Assembly via video link. He said that the biggest threat, climate change, which should not be forgotten in the midst of a pandemic. His Finnish government is firmly pursuing its goal of making Finland climate-neutral by 2035, thus becoming the world's first fossil-free welfare society. His speech underlined several times the need for action and results, instead of further speeches.
Blue Danube project signs LoI with TECO 2030 for hydrogen tugboats
Norway’s TECO 2030 ASA announced a letter of intent (LoI) with AVL GmbH and Chemgas Shipping BV for the use of fuel cell technology on tugboats for the hydrogen project, Blue Danube. The Blue Danube project aspires to be Europe's most ambitious hydrogen project. It involves large-scale production of hydrogen based on wind power in Romania, which will be transported by river barges to customers in Austria and Germany. The project involves the production of 80,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually. TECO 2030 is a developer of sustainable energy use in shipping. AVL is an Austrian company in the development, simulation and testing of vehicle drive systems. Chemgas, from the Netherlands, is a market leader in the transport of LPG under pressure
Component shortages prevent Inzile from hitting 2020 production target
The Corona pandemic means that some of Inzile's subcontractors are unable to supply the company with the necessary components, which means that about two thirds of the vehicles that were to be completed during the autumn will not be ready for delivery until the first quarter of 2021. Separately, Inzile said that it had signed a framework agreement with Ramudden, which is a supplier of workplace safety in busy environments. In the first phase, six vehicles will be delivered. The trucks will be used to drive out materials where space is limited.
