Denmark's largest onshore wind farm opens

After nine years, Denmark's largest onshore wind farm officially opened in Jutland, ready to supply green electricity to 65,000 northern Danish households. Behind the ambitious project is the company Eurowind Energy A / S, which is equally owned by Norlys and the original founders.

In a generally lacklustre market yesterday, Powercell, which produces fuel cells traded up just over 3% and Norway’s Nel, which produces electrolysers boomed 13% in Oslo.

 

Polestar 2 ranked against Volvo XC40 – Polestar takes the pole position

Polestar has carried out a life cycle analysis to determine the environmental impact of its new electric car, Polestar 2 compared to the fossil-fuelled variant of the Volvo XC40. The analysis takes into account emissions from material production, manufacturing, use phase and final phase of the electric car. A 38-page report describes the carbon dioxide impact of a Polestar 2 that drives 20 000 km. The best option is to charge the electric car with wind power. During the service life, carbon dioxide emissions are 27 tonnes, less than half the 58 tonnes of the XC40. With the average energy mix for Europe, the impact would instead be 42 tonnes.
