The biggest story came from Finland, whose government has decided on clear measures to halve transport emissions by 2030. In addition to more walking and bicycling, Finland will rely initially on a large-scale take up of electricity and biogas, before new biofuels and “mobility services” come into effect later in the decade. Hydrogen development continues to receive a lot of attention, especially in Norway, as companies position themselves in the hope of becoming a winner. Meanwhile, last year’s stock market rockets, are falling back towards earth, given tricky times for market leaders, Vestas, Orsted and the Aker babies in Norway.
