Aker and Ocean Winds to invest £15 billion in Scottish offshore wind:

Aker’s offshore wind subsidiary, Aker Offshore Wind and Ocean Winds, that have placed bids together on Scottish offshore wind tenders, have unveiled a ten-point “manifesto” to boost renewable energy in Scotland. In the plan, the two offshore wind partners present an increased investment in Scottish offshore wind to £15 billion and set out proposals for the development of workforce competence as well as for the creation of new manufacturing facilities (Press release, Power technology).

Ecoclime establish business in Finland via collaboration agreement with Stravent OY

Ecoclime has established business in Finland via the sale of indoor-climate solutions to Stravent OY. The indoor-solutions build on smart and energy efficient ventilation solutions that Ecoclime says improve the indoor climate for tenants in commercial real estate as well as lowering climate-related costs for real estate owners. Through Stravent OY, the indoor-climate solutions will be offered to the Finnish and Estonian market (Press release).

Scandinavian Biogas Fuels reveals EU- and Swedish long-term investment in biogas

Scandinavian Biogas Fuels International AB reveals that the EU and Sweden have long-term investments in biogas for the transition into a circular economy in its 3Q21 report. Furthermore, key results from 3Q21 include an increase of energy sold (by 3.8%), net sales (by 17.1%) and total income (by 15.8%) (Press release).

Initiative to validate net-zero emission targets with science: Ørsted receives the first certificate

With the launch of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), Ørsted has received the first Net-Zero Standard certification that validates its net-zero emission targets based on scientific criteria. The initiative is a collaboration between the CDP, the UN’s Global Impact, World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). With the certificate, companies can substantiate their long-term reduction targets and align them with the net-zero emission goal by 2050 (Press release).

Insplorion 3Q21 financial results

Insplorion, a Swedish cleantech company, has presented its financial results for 3Q21 in an interim report. Highlighted are key financial results in comparison to 3Q20, which showcase an upward trend.

  • Net sales SEK 554,000 (SEK 508,000)
  • Profit after net financial items SEK -1.188 billion (SEK -2,517 million)

The company claims to be well positioned to accommodate both electricity and hydrogen, and that its patented sensory platform, Nanoplasmonic Sensing (NPS), is able to streamline both technology areas on a systems level (DI).
