After a meeting with the Swedish PM, Stefan Löfven, in which she received few answers, Greta Thunberg claimed that Sweden had abandoned its 1.5°C target. Thunberg and three other Fridays for Future activists concluded the day with a digital press conference where they expressed severe criticism against both the world's leaders and the general population. "We live in complete denial. We do not see the problem at all, and it is not just the world leaders. We, the population, have not become aware of the extent of the situation. We are totally unaware, and in the midst of an existential crisis," said Thunberg. (Aftonbladet)

In an interview, Sweden’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Ibrahim Baylan said “Without a doubt, Sweden is at the forefront of the EU in terms of research, and also in production. As far as I know, Northvolt is the first all-European battery factory that is about the entire value chain, and not just about assembling cells." Asked if he saw more Swedish battery companies of Northvolt's stature he said, "It is not given by itself, but the conditions are there. Siemens Energy has chosen to deepen its collaboration with the Power-to-Fuel company, Liquid Wind for the production of electrofuel, with the aim of contributing to a significant reduction in carbon dioxide emissions in shipping. Siemens Energy will invest in Liquid Wind AB and also contribute technology and expertise to the development of eMethanol plants.
Engelbert Schrapp, Principle Corporate Account Manager at Siemens Energy said "eMethanol will be a strong driving force for future transportation, and Siemens Energy wants to be an active part of this ... “Liquid Wind is one of the most advanced developers in eMethanol.
