Absolicon and Creative Power Solutions (CPS), a Swiss solar technology company. have signed a framework agreement for the establishment of a production line in Egypt to provide the region with advanced solar collectors. Through its sister company Advanced Technology Company, CPS has signed a long-term agreement with the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy to increase the efficiency of a 600 MW thermal power plant in Asyut province. The ATD / CPS team identified that Absolicon's technology can lead to major improvements in fuel efficiency, and CPS has licensed Absolicon’s T160 technology. Given the large amount of sun, the MENA region is considered highly prospective for solar development and the two partners have high hopes for sales in the region.
Nel has received a purchase order for several PEM electrolysers that will be delivered to facilities to be delivered to a leader in the commercialization of sustainable protein technology for the developing world. The contract has a value of about USD 5 million for delivery in 2022 and 2023.
