Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser has entered a collaboration with leading solar company First Solar, Inc. to develop integrated PV Hydrogen power plants. Initially, First Solar and Nel will collaborate to develop an integrated power plant control and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system. The network architecture will enable optimization of PV-electrolyser hybrid projects, resulting in lowest total cost of hydrogen and electricity. The parties will over time explore further ways of optimizing and integrating technology elements throughout the solar and hydrogen production plant. Given 25% of human-made CO2 emissions stem from the exploitation and change of use of natural areas, especially by agriculture, forestry and the construction industry, a new report commissioned by the Nordic Council of Ministers has identified a number of solutions that can provide a boost to biodiversity and address climate change. A new pilot-scale project that brings together expertise from the West Jutland company Landia, the University of Queensland in Australia and Aarhus University, will develop a cost-effective system for biogas methanation. The InjectMe project is developing a biological methanation system that converts electricity and biogas into biogas methane of natural gas quality (Power-to-Methane). It has a total budget of DKK 12.1 million. and is supported by the Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program, EUDP, under the Danish Energy Agency. (Avisen)
