Denmark’s Ewii group and Japanese energy giant, Tokyo Gas have entered into a joint venture and established the company Towii Renewables, located in Kolding. The newly established company will develop wind- and solar parks for customers in the Nordic region. The CEO of Ewii, Lars Bonderup Bears, says that the Towii Renewables is a strategic collaboration to make Denmark and the Triangle area a stronger actor in the area of export and will become a contributor to the protection of the global climate. In total, the company has set a goal of developing a total of 1 GW of renewable energy by 2030.
Eco Wave Power Global, a leader in the production of clean electricity from ocean waves, announced a partnership with AltaSea at the port of Los Angeles. AltaSea is a non-profit organisation that accelerates scientific collaboration and the promotion of emerging blue economies. The two organisations have together taken part in a grant application held by Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) and was selected as finalist in the Economic Development Administration (EDA) Build Back Better Regional Challenge. Eco Wave Power is going to participate in the AltaSea Renewable Energy Open House that is taking place on the 26th of February 2022, as well as the AltaSea Blue+Green webinar series which gives supporters the opportunity to meet and collaborate with relevant researchers, scientists and engineers.
The Norwegian company HYON AS, a provider of zero-emission maritime hydrogen bunkering solutions, has attracted a investor interest, announcing a private placement of NOK 50 million was successfully completed. The conclusion of the financing round means that the company is now being valued at NOK 130 million. Chief Executive officer of HYON, Jørn Kristian Lindtvedt, comments on the private placements and says that: “The placement and potential listing will allow HYON to continue the growth and development to leverage our leading position in the market for maritime hydrogen fueling solutions. We will deliver our bunkering technology to the world’s first commercial-scale filling station for pressurised hydrogen for the maritime sector at the Hellesylt Hydrogen Hub, showcasing our solutions to the numerous maritime hydrogen projects set to commence construction over the next few years”.
HYON AS said that it is planning to have its shares admitted to trading on Euronext Growth in the near future.
