Nicki Kwee Appointed Head of Design at Lynk&Co Design’s Shanghai Studio

Lynk&Co Design is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicki Kwee as the Head of Design for the recently opened studio in Shanghai. With a recognized career spanning over two decades in the automotive industry, Nicki brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of design innovation to his new role.

Prior to rejoining Lynk&Co, Nicki served as the Chief Designer Interior at NIO in Shanghai, where he led a global interior design team and played a pivotal role in delivering world-class user experience for the brand.

Previously, Nicki held key positions at Lynk&Co Design in Gothenburg, Sweden, where he spearheaded interior design efforts for a range of vehicles, including the Lynk&Co 01 EU, 03 FL, 05, 06, and 08, among others. His skilled leadership and design expertise were evident in his role as Head of Interior Design, where he guided his team all the way from advanced sketch phases to vehicle launches.

Stefan Rosén, VP of Lynk&Co Design, expressed his enthusiasm about Nicki returning to the team in this new context, stating, "Nicki's extensive experience and creative vision makes him the perfect fit to lead our design efforts in Shanghai. With a Transportation Design Degree from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, USA, Nikki's passion for design and commitment to excellence are evident throughout his career. His extensive international experience, coupled with his creativity, positions him as a formidable leader in the automotive design landscape. Nicki Kwee's appointment signifies Lynk&Co's commitment to fostering innovation and pushing the boundaries of automotive design. With his leadership, the Shanghai studio is ready to be part of forward-thinking design solutions, under the leadership of the Gothenburg Design Studio.
